Dermatology is the medical branch that deals with skin disorders and skin health. It focuses on both the surgical and medical aspect of treatment.

Dermatology is the branch of medicine and surgery that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of skin disorders. Skin disorders can be both temporary and permanent both minor and life-threatening.

Gender –

Both male and female are at risk of skin disorders depending on the occupation and environmental exposures. 

Age –

Children are prone to having minor skin disorder. Adults above the age of 50 and 65 are exposed to suffer from skin cancer. 

Inherited traits –

Genetics play a major role in transmitting skin disorders. 

Lifestyle –

Smoking, consumption of alcohol, imbalanced diet, intake of junk, use of chemicals, and lack of care can lead to skin disorders. 

Pre-existing disorders –

Diabetes, Lupus, stress, and inflammatory bowel disease can invite skin disorders. 

Environmental stress –

Pollution, harmful UV rays and other environmental stress can be the cause for skin disorders.
